DESIGN CHALLENGE

This hotel rebrand was created using a comprehensive design process through research, analysis, business strategy, and an organization to create a brand identity program. Designing the primary identity and applying it to a variety of brand touch points across media. The brand manual was intended to highlight who the brand is, what they stand for, and what they promise to deliver. This created a guide on how branded marketing materials are conceived and produced in the future. 

CREATIVE SOLUTION

The Tulum Hotel, a boutique establishment located in the heart of Tulum, Mexico got a brand refresh. Research and strategy led me to the name “Selventa,” created from the spanish words “slow jungle.” It more accurately and descriptively focuses on the brand essence, communicating its exclusivity as hotel to relax and unwind. The identity design is inspired by the organic and natural characteristics in the hotel’s architecture, decor, and details. The typography reflects its modernity and simplicity. The primary and secondary colors pull from the lush bamboo filled surroundings. The results showcase who the brand is, what they stand for, and what they promise to deliver in a much improved way.
